Walkies Set from Erikazpawz | Review

Hi all,

Today we have a little break from our gift guides (though this would make a lovely gift), and I have some super cute products from Erikazpawz to share with you!

We were very kindly sent a full set in the Sienna plaid fabric, and the orange just looks so gorgeous on Archie. The set includes several pieces: first of all there's the little jacket, which is secured with velcro around the chest and under the belly. It's nice and lightweight, perfect for autumn especially! These coats can be made to measure, but Heather also stocks standard sizes which is handy. You can also specify whether you'd like a harness hole, which I love. I never, ever walk Archie on just a collar, so this is a fab feature for me.

Next, there's the "Before and After" poop bags. One is a poo bag holder, which opens at the side for you to pop a roll of bags in! It has a handy opening at the bottom so you can pull them out easily, too. The second is a bag for you to put a full poo bag in, so you can avoid having to carry a loose bag of poop about! This is especially handy if, like me, you have more than one dog... and often more than one bag of poop!

Thirdly, we have the treat bag. This closes at the top to keep everything safely inside. Additionally, each of these bags have a velcro strap, which makes it easy to attach them to your belt loop or lead. To finish the set, there's the matching slide-on bandana. The lining of the bandana actually forms a pocket for you to store a spare poo bag, so you're never caught short!

Heather also makes dog pjs, towelling onesies, waterproof coats and much, much more! You can even buy a hat and boot liners to match your walkies set.

What do you think? Let us know!

Stocking Fillers for Dogs, and Dog Lovers! | Gift Guides 2017

Hi everyone,

We're back with another Christmas Gift Guide, and this time we're talking all things stocking filler! I absolutely love buying gifts for Archie and Winnie, and last year I had so much fun putting together a little stocking of goodies for them. I'm planning on doing the same thing this Christmas, and thought you might like to see some of my ideas! I also decided to gather together a few bits that might be suitable for the dog lovers in your life, too.

Stocking Fillers for Dogs:

Now a stocking isn't a stocking without treats, is it?! This Barkwell Tart from Mickelmus Munchies is the perfect addition to any dog-friendly stocking, and my two absolutely devoured theirs.. I couldn't resist giving it to them early! The treats are wheat and dairy free, and there are other alternatives too, like their fab hamper and Christmas tree biscuits. These dog-friendly mince pie dupes are a steal at just £1.50.

How about a new ID tag? I've got a couple of Growlees tags for Archie and Winnie, and these Christmas ones are just fab. They will definitely be wearing these on Christmas Day, and they will be tasting the turkey I'm sure! What's even better is that you can create your own Growlees tag, so if you fancy another Christmas sentiment you can have one made up. I love that they're in festive red and green shades, and that I can colour-coordinate their Christmas jumpers to match (yep, I'm that owner!)

Archie and Winnie will have a selection of treats and little toys in their stockings, but you'll see more of the toys in a future post!

Stocking Fillers for Humans:

Do you have a dog lover in your life who collects pins? If so, this cute "Dog Person" pin from Lazy Pencil Co is the perfect stocking filler. Even if they're not a pin collector, this would look super cute on a bag or coat; I currently have mine pinned to my reusable daxie-print shopping bag! Lazy Pencil Co also sell adorable prints and pet accessories, so they're well worth checking out when you're Christmas shopping this year.

Now I don't know about you, but I'm a mug/pottery addict. I absolutely cannot resist a good mug, especially if it has a dachshund or a yorkie on, and I'm sure most dog lovers are the same. If you're stuck for a small gift, what about a mug with their favourite breed on? They're available everywhere, but places like TK Maxx or Home Sense are filled to the brim with dog mugs at the moment. There's something for every budget! This particular set I found in TK Maxx, but they're by a brand called Queenwest Trading Co.

Last but not least, what about a super cute keyring? I love the sentiment on this one from Ruth's Handmade with Love. My two hooligans certainly make my life whole, and I'm sure any other dog lover would feel the same. I'd be chuffed to find this in my Christmas stocking!

So there we have it, a few little stocking filler ideas for you. I hope you've enjoyed this post, and maybe spotted something that you like! What do you buy as stocking fillers? Share your ideas with me!

Land of Dogs Christmas Hamper! | Gift Guides 2017

Hi everyone!

I'm so, so excited to share the first of my festive posts with you today! At least once a week from now on, I'll be sharing a gift guide or something similar: I know some people will say it's too early, but I want to give you plenty of time to buy things!

This first post will feature a fab little Christmas hamper from Land of Dogs, who so kindly sent me one to review. Here is some info from the Land of Dogs website, about the contents of the box:

This hamper comes packaged in an eco-friendly cardboard box and delightfully packed red festive tissue paper.
  • An eco-friendly cotton plush squeaky bone toy available in either small or large  – not a chew toy, please monitor your pet when playing.
  • A card for you to write to your special canine friend for Christmas.
  • 50ml Christmas edition shampoo – low suds, SLS free, paraben free & organic with essential oils.
  • Christmas edition 50G paw balm with organic ingredients including organic myrhh and sweet orange, safe for noses too!
  • Two packs of our grain free treats, one poultry and one fish!
  • Handmade to order

We've already tried the treats out (I was super happy that they were grain-free!) and both dogs loved them, even Archie who is notoriously fussy. He's also a huge fan of the christmas bone toy, and spent a good half hour throwing it around the living room! I love that you can choose between a red or blue bone, and what size you'd like it to be. We obviously have the small version, but the large one is perfect for bigger dogs. Please do be aware that the bone isn't designed as a chew toy though, so you must supervise your dog whilst they're playing with it.

It's always nice to come across something a bit different, and Land of Dogs certainly delivers this with the addition of shampoo and paw balm. I'm excited about the paw balm in particular, as looking after the dogs' feet is something that I often forget about! After soggy walks in cold weather, it'll be nice to slather on some of this balm and know that their little paws are being taken care of.

Starting at just £23.99, I think the Land of Dogs Christmas hamper is great value for money. I know of several people who are notoriously difficult to buy for, but they love their dogs and something like this would make a great gift. Obviously, it would also make a lovely present for your pooch... but we crazy dog owners don't need any convincing to spoil our pets do we!

Don't forget to check out the box here! Is a hamper something you would buy for your pet/dog loving friend? Let us know!

October Favourites | 2017

Hello all! I hope you're well.

We're back today with our October favourites... can you believe it's November already?! CHRISTMAS is next month and I've been so busy preparing blog and instagram content for December... I've got so many lovely things to share with you. Christmas is definitely the most wonderful time of the year in this house, so be ready for things to get very festive!

Anyway, onto our favourites from October...

Autumn Sunshine & Leafy Walks:

I know some people will be horrified by this, but I don't really like summer! It's lovely to be off work, and I do love sunny days, but I don't cope well with the heat at all. I hate getting sweaty and fed up after a five minute stroll... autumn/winter is so much nicer for dog walks! My favourite routes tend to be quieter, there's little danger of the dogs overheating, and I can bundle up warm in a coat and scarf. The colours of autumn are just beautiful, too.

Shopping at Discover Dogs:

I was super excited to attend Discover Dogs in London with Winnie (and some of our lovely blogging friends!) and I of course did a little bit of shopping. I actually bought very little, mainly treats, but I had to treat Archie to a posh new bow from Teddy Maximus! I love this super cute star print, the material feels so luxurious and it looks fab on his tan leather collar.

At the show, I also collected an order from my friend Emily over at Devil Dood Designs, consisting of these adorable new collars! They're so sweet, and I just can't get enough of this rainbow cord (Archie's navy collar even has rainbow whipping!) They've worn them nearly every day since I picked them up!

Dressing Up for Halloween:

The dogs did dress up as a witch and a devil for Halloween (I know, I'm that dog owner!) but I think I prefer my pumpkin photos. Winnie was so into the posing, but Archie wasn't so keen this year! Their pumpkin bandanas are from my etsy shop Chloe Suzanne Designs, though they're no longer available. We have listed our Christmas collection today though!

I hope everyone is having a great week, we'll be back again soon!
